I have recently read "The Elephant Whisperer" and found it a fascinating sory of his battle against his fellow man in support of the elephant. I was not aware that he had died earlier this year. The book is well worth a read.
The journey that the elephants undertook to pay homage is therefore no surprise to me - only the fact that ther elephants "knew" that he had died and could recall how to find his home.
