Can anyone recommend a good source of 8mm router bits? In fact, it doesn't have to be good, I'll settle for any source of 8mm router bits!

Do you mean 8mm shank router bits if so wealden dont have an extensive range. You may be better of looking at Titman cutters see here http://www.titman.co.uk/ They are fairly expensive but have most types of cutter in 8mm shank and are industrial quality.
