I have been given a table saw!

Only a cheap one though. Anyway, it has a blade 254 mm x 2.4 mm.

Do I have to get exactly the same size or is a 250 mm or 2.1 mm one ok?

Cheers.

The slightly smaller 250mm shouldn't matter but the riving knife will be the wrong thickness by .3mm too thick - though perhaps this is too little to be of concern. However you must make sure the mounting hole diameter is correct.

The saw will have a plate on it telling you the minimum blade size for the machine, don't go below that size.

The riving knife being 2.1 on a 2.4 blade would be about right. It should be a thickness which is thinner than the kerf but thicker than the actual blade plate.
