rip up the laminate floor in the kitchen and get it recovered with rhinohide

Ok. This is interesting.. please tell more.

we were in a chain and the rather nice old house we wanted fell through and we ended up buying a new house in a hurry.

the builder was a complete cowboy and did all sorts of interesting things, especially when it came to finish. For example he covered the whole downstairs except the bathroom with the cheapest nastiest laminate floor you have ever seen. It has now been five years and we are replacing the kitchen flooring with some of that really tough lino called rhinohide...

in the upstairs bathroom he used flooring that was too thin and put tiles on top, they have all cracked along the joists. Of course he put the floor down first so the tiles go under the tiles on the walls and under the loo etc, I'm putting that one off...

My workshop HAS to be made functional and a peaceful place in which to work.
Not one for NY resolutions, but if I was, that'd be it.

Main jobs?

New workbench
*New lathe-bench
*New Triton Bench to replace the metal skeleton undercarriage.
New worktop across the garage for drilling, morticing and sharpening.
Find someone who welds to make a *trolley for my Sedgwick Planer, recycling the Triton box-section.

* All on castors.

That's about it really!

:lol: :lol: :lol:

Oh yes! Some of those 'jigsaw-puzzle' mats for the deck!

HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

Next year I shan't be a slave to the needs of the house, boy am I fed up with decorating, so, woodwork wise, the World is my Lobster.
