I made this bowl with a Robinia log and sealed it with teak oil to make it food safe it is 15" x 12" wide and 3" tall I enjoy making natural edge items like bowl, platters and vases as you never know exactly what you will end up with the last photo is another pat of the log it come from I hope you enjoy it any comments welcome

Woodyturner,

A stunning piece of work, with the finish exposing a beautiful grain. Did the bark stay on without any help or have you used large quantities of CA glue?

Mike
Hi Mike about 3/4 of the bark was quite firmly in place and stayed intact so I used C/A on it just to be sure it stayed in place but not a great deal

i really like the grain, and that the item isn't 'round'

Not a great fan of the tonal variation though - but without stains (which I also don't like!) i guess you are stuck with this

Overall, nice!
