Any problems with it pinching the blade when you get to the end of a cut?

You do have to move when needed to ensure no pinching

Nothings perfect is it

Steve Goode had a nice clamp for holding small items

I thought there was a plan on his site but can't see it just now, its not that complex anyway

I have been meaning to make one for ages

Steve reviewed the one in your picture -

The plan on his site is for one with 2 threaded bars instead of springs.

He uses it primarily for compound cutting, but I reckon it would be nice to use if you had trouble gripping small bits of wood.

Absolutely correct, I remember now it was a review he did on it

Its been a time since I saw it

And lets face it I do well to remember if I put sugar in my tea 10 seconds after doing it ;-)

But a handy clamp I thought

In your defence, I thought I'd seen plans for the springy one on Steve's site too. :-D

... now, about that tea.
