I personally think its pretty good. Very similar to a fishing forum i go on.. The adverts dont bother me. I can still read posts and view pictures so i dont see what the problem is with the ads.
Thought it was a long shot, All his woodworking photos were left behind at his ex wifes house over 5 years ago. Anyhow he did explain it to me. He is a blacksmith (and welder) by trade so it was mainly constructed from 50x50x5mm steel angle.
The base was a steel pedestal with a 3'x3' frame on...
I,m popping to his tomorrow so i,l ask him. Theres a strong chance he wont have any as he,s moved twice since then. It was a pretty simple design, I,l see if he still has any drawings for it to.
My dad used to make sheds in his workshop before he retired. I think his jig was (off the top of my head) 12'x6' as that was kind of the biggest he did as a standardish Wall panel size. Anything bigger he used to build without a jig. For anything smaller he had inserts that he could put in place...
Hull power tools near me have the 100volt domino and systainer kit with 1200 dominos and 4 cutters for £700 at the minute. I think thats pretty cheap compared to some prices iv seen.. Im not sure if the offer is on unless you buy the 2 together tho.
He cant discount the domino on its own or...
I dont no if the models changed but the firm i used to work for had some fixed to saw benches and supplied them in vans to. They were good little saws for the money. All mitres were accurate. Think they paid £120 ish each but that was nearly 3 years ago.
I know its out your way alan but viking hardware or future fixings both in hull do all kinds of small brass screws. Best to ring to double check tho as they might not stock them and have to order them in.
The amount of supports would depend on the length of the shelves. Maybe tempted to put a lipping on the front to aid the risk of sagging if your not putting to many supports up.
That diy extra link uses 600mm centres for the uprights. This could be just self prefrence but i do my uprights 400mm centres.
I always pink grip the two intermediate uprights too.
yes i posted then read an earlier post which already answered my question so i deleted it.
You dont miss much, It was only there for about 30 seconds :D
I use an axminster aw10bsb2 10 inch saw with a sliding table. Cost was around £900 delivered. Its a brilliant saw but i dont think axminster sell them anymore.
I'v typed the code in the axminster site and it wont recognise it and the saw isn't in the usual saw table section..
Anyone know if...
I fitted one a few weeks ago.
It was fine to hang. The core is supposed to be hardwood but i'v re edged one before and there was a fair bit of compressed chipboard thrown in. 0.6mm veneer with 20mm oak edging strips. Door from B&Q. The quality is rubbish tho.
Same here. I use a charnwood 720 it states 150mm cut. With the blade supplied no chance.
With a (think it was a 3 tpi without checking) blade from tuff saws it cuts 150mm easily.
