    Well Done Wales

To get breakfast (at Junction 33), he would have to go east with the traffic from Hensol (Wales HQ) close to Junction 34. Pretty dull though Dick either way. The total lack of sympathy on our Welsh rugby TV program, Scrum V, said it all. Jim

    Netbook recommendations please

Memory upgrades are easy. I use Crucial Technology. Just punch in your computer model and up comes the correct memory. I think you'll find that the maximum Ram for most Netbooks is 2GB. You might have to change the 1MB for a 2MB module - depends on computer. Just remember to earth yourself to...

    Netbook recommendations please

I went into Carphone Warehouse a year ago for a new mobile and came out with an Asus Eee PC 701SD all for £149. Running Windows XP and a Solid State :C\ Drive of 8GB it has been great for away from home email and web use. I added an extra 1GB Ram to help it along. Just don't expect speed or...

    Mobiles and the wheel.

As family and friends will testify, my attitude towards authority has left a lot to be desired over the years but using mobiles while driving.....grrrrrrrr! While on the subject, the greater proportion of culprits seems to be split between youngish, female 4x4 drivers and smartly dressed BMW...

Like your site Roger. Bit confused about the new Google Language your using: trcaking, mew and surce. I'd better Google them  Cheers, Jim

    Gigs

Didn't get to many pop concerts - I was into Jazz but a minor claim to fame is that Andy Fairweather Lowe who played in Amen Corner, lives around the corner. Still plays in gigs. You wouldn't guess he was a pop star if you met him. Having said that, I haven't met any others to compare him with!

    Gigs

Mike The "end-of-gigging" moment for me, though, was seeing Madness live in Finsbury Park in the early 90's I guess.......and nearly getting crushed to death in the moronic, heaving surging crowd. Got dragged out by my brother, and just by the skin of my teeth. Mike Not a problem I...

Welsh road signs - a point of principle too far?

God forbid that there exists such a thing as a rude Engishman. Many thanks Roy (honorary Cardi) for speaking in support of us poor, downtrodden Welsh. Not a bad score though against the Argies. Didn't get to hear how England faired. Good that we can have a bit of banter (good...

Simon's Cat (got to see it)

Surprised my kids the other day when I told them about Simon's Cat on youtube. They hadn't heard of it and accused me of spending my time web surfing. The injustice of it all. Cheers, Jim

Welsh road signs - a point of principle too far?

As you've only visited the Principality once in 30 years Roger, the language problem shouldn't be to much of a strain. I have a Dutch friend who visits Wales on a regular basis and loves quoting to me the places he has visited by their correct Welsh spellings and hoping to catch me out...

    Oneida Cyclone

THe hoses were supplied by Camvac and recommended by them. Jim

    Oneida Cyclone

I have fitted hoses to the outlets of my twin motor Camvac and out through a hole in the workshop wall. A standard kitchen extractor outlet flap finishes off the outside. It has made a considerable difference to noise levels. One disadvantage is not reusing the heat generated to warm the workshop.

    Oneida Cyclone

I recently bought a Oneida Dust Deputy and connected it to my Camvac. The results have been excellent. No more cleaning the filters everytime you empty the drum. After emptying the Dust Deputy 4 times, the Camvac drum remains virtually empty. I'm sure you can make a cylone if your so inclined...

Which downlighters, LD or Mains (or low voltage)?

I bought some light sets for the kitchen units from Screwfix last week and are now only sold in low voltage form (the catalogue said 240v.) apparently since the introduction of new legislation. Cheers, Jim
