Hello Chaps i am after a compound miter saw (the un-powered variety) I know that the nobex ones are very highly rated, but there are hundreds of cheaper ones available. Now my suspicion is that they are cheap for a reason. But does anyone have one that is actually good? i am on a budget :(...

Does anyone know if bobbin sanders come with chuck mounted bobbins? Basically i wand to make a bobbin on a lath that can use abrasive strip rather than sleeves. Any ideas which machines would best be modded for that? Thanks in advance

As above the mother in law has a scratched solid oak floor (deep scratch) I am not sure what the finish is, is it best to sand the scratch out only or sand the entire floor and then finish? What would you recommend to finish the floor?

Yup an oily wood is what your after, lignum vitae is excellent if the pieces are small as is cocobolo. So i third teak :D

Does anyone have any experience of any of these two diak sanders? They are proberbly the same unit from china but the tables look different. If you have either of them is there any play in the disk? and how solid are the table? do they have much play in them? and are the locks any good? Sorry...
