Hand compound mitre saws?

Hello Chaps i am after a compound miter saw (the un-powered variety)

I know that the nobex ones are very highly rated, but there are hundreds of cheaper ones available. Now my suspicion is that they are cheap for a reason.

But does anyone have one that is actually good? i am on a budget

I had a cheap anonymous one.
I now have a Nobex Champion I got at auction for £35ish.
There is no comparison - the Nobex is much better to use.

Get a Nobex theres no comparison. I have had mine for nearly 20 years I don't use it all the time, hardly ever in fact now but when I do its still as accurate as the day I bought it. Look out for deals they used to do a half price deal every now and then.
