    Inca bandsaw

I can't see the bearings in the current Clas Ohlsen catalogue, and I'm in America over Christmas. I'll have a look when I get home, and if I can find them I might drop a couple in a Jiffy bag for you. Alternatively, I'm sure that eBay will have some, if I can find the size/part number. John

    Dead Inca bandsaw

Mine has an NVR switch(in a really daft position, I might add).

    Dead Inca bandsaw

The only official spares source I know of is: [email protected] but it won't be cheap. Let's hope it's something minor, rather than a new motor! http://www.incamachines.com/

Don't think they use brushes, but I could be wrong.

Advice needed on Euro 260/Kity woodster Bandsaw

I have a slightly older Swiss-made Inca, I haven't used it that much, but it's certainly a very well made machine. I specifically wanted that model because it has a good depth of cut for a small benchtop bandsaw. I was lucky, I got mine for £50.00 on eBay. I bought three blades from your man at...

    Cutting and joining 6mm plywood

I'm sure you're right in both respects. I can't help feeling that attempting to mitre 6mm ply is going to be very tricky though, although I could be wrong.

    Cutting and joining 6mm plywood

I'm no expert, but I would guess finger joints are probably your best bet. I have seen plywood boxes from Ikea that used finger joints and looked fine, but I suppose you need good quality ply with few voids. If you are cutting the fingers on a router table you might need some sort of sacrifical...

    Who Said Measure Twice.

I Have the BMI version (in red). The fold-out compass pin isn't retained very reliably and the push-to-lock function isn't too hot either. Maybe the green version is different is this respect - but I doubt it, as the picture looks identical. It is handy to be able to take a direct reading from...

    Worktop with integrated upstand

Thanks. Now I understand. A prefrormed corner would obviously work! John

    Worktop with integrated upstand

I know it exists, because I've seen it, I still can't get my head round how one might join it at right angles other than a simple 45 degree mitre. But, as I said, I'm simply curious.

    Worktop with integrated upstand

Thanks for the reply, but this stuff was not Corian, it was what I think is called post-formed(probably chipboard with a plastic laminate surface), and the upstand was very definitely integral.

    Worktop with integrated upstand

Just come back from the USA where my niece's kitchen worktop had a rounded edge and also an integral upstand. The corners were plain mitres, but I was trying to work out if there was another way, akin to the so-called mason's mitre, to join this type of worktop. Just curious, I would never fit...

    Is woodworking your profession?

Tony, I envy you in a geographical way. I used to stay in St Martin de Belleville for skiing holidays. Great place!

Home made circular saw guide track

Ooops! You are right! Now I and my family must live in shame for many years, all because I didn't read carefully enough.

Home made circular saw guide track

Hmmm... Let's see now, total cost so far < £5. Two Fesstool clamps at around £20 each... No, I don't see any flaws in that! :D :D
