I'm tempted - but looking at the list of exhibitors, Bessey won't be there. Seeing as I only every end of buying some clamps no point me going ;)!

hot melt glue guns - bulk offer

A bit late to the conversation but I have the TEC 810 for woodworking and the low melt TEC 305 for craft stuff with the children. Both great glue guns and would also recommend the service from gluegunsdirect. Cheers Gidon

Lacquer - Which Do You Use?

I use Chestnut melamine lacquer - which sprays well. If it's a small job, could you use some cans of spray lacquer? Either way you can just build up as many coats as you need. Cheers Gidon

    Record Power WG250 stone grader

I have a Tormek and that's normal for the stone grader to get a hollow. Check out the Tormek videos with Jeff Farris like this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6lJHxoQWO8U Cheers Gidon

    UJK Parf guide system

The one linked to is smaller than an MFT/3 top - but still a useful size - and has the perfectly machined grid of holes.

    UJK Parf guide system

I think it's a clever system and would come into its own if you wanted to make lots of tables with these holes. But for a one off it's quite expensive and looks quite a faff to me when you can get a ready made MFT top for less than half the price (and that uncludes the quality bit of MDF :))...

    Trend diamond stones

Have you all checked your stones with a straight edge? My first wasn't even close to flat. They sent another- the diamond plate was peeling off - gave up. It seems from most of the comments that I was just unlucky. Gidon

Thanks for the post. A bargain - although mine arrived with the diamond starting to delaminate from the substrate :(.

Respirator - Trend Airshield Pro or something else

The vents on the Sundstrom face downwards so no they won't steam up - as long as the fit is good around the nose. The mask comes with a test disc to check the seal. I like Sundstrom as a company - I've emailed their tech support to check the filters I was using were correct and they came...

Respirator - Trend Airshield Pro or something else

This is a tricky subject. I have all sorts of masks including the Trend original Airshield. But what I use now is a Sundstrom mask with a P3 filter (and organic A2 filters when spraying lacquer). You don't really notice the breathing resistance when you're using it and the level of filtration...

    Rutlands - pricing and reviews?

Ah well. It is a slight shame since they seem to secure some exclusive products which are good (some Fastcap products like Kaizen foam). And I have ordered from them over the years when I've had to - and not had any issues that I recall. I really don't understand why they aren't more...
