I commute from leicestershire every day, 50 mile round trip. when the schools are in term it takes an hour in the car but only 35 minutes on a scooter. :shock:

I'd agree with that completely, but then I was well up for ID cards until that got scrapped. People worry about "ID theft" and the rights to privacy but surely if it stops or catches one murderer or paedophile then it'd be worth it. I would worry about what people have to hide if they blankly...
In another similar story a guy got done a few years back for pee-ing up a wall in the street whilst drunk! His DNA was taken and he was found guilty of a rape 6 years earlier.

I bought a desk fan from the co-op a few years ago. I had to assemble it myself and the thread for the nut holding the blades was "knackered" so I couldn't screw it on. I took it back and got a replacement. The replacement was the same!!!!! :x I took that one back and took a third one home...
No bench drill yet so I just used a battery drill and a spade bit. I clamped things together and drilled each hole through the 2 sections in one go. Then I numbered everything up so that if they weren't perfectly square then they would still work together ;)
It worked out well 8)

It came out of my toolbox that I'd not opened for ages. I seem to remember having it for the gearbox bearings on my old scooter :?

I decided to build myself a side table for the living room. I started with some planed timbre and went from there.
glued up the 4 strips to make up the top piece -
Drilled the frame pieces for dowel pegs -
And then the glue-up -
