    New Layout for UKworkshop

I personally think its pretty good. Very similar to a fishing forum i go on.. The adverts dont bother me. I can still read posts and view pictures so i dont see what the problem is with the ads.

    Our new Workshop.

Thought it was a long shot, All his woodworking photos were left behind at his ex wifes house over 5 years ago. Anyhow he did explain it to me. He is a blacksmith (and welder) by trade so it was mainly constructed from 50x50x5mm steel angle. The base was a steel pedestal with a 3'x3' frame on...

whos got a makita ls1040 mitre saw??

I dont no if the models changed but the firm i used to work for had some fixed to saw benches and supplied them in vans to. They were good little saws for the money. All mitres were accurate. Think they paid £120 ish each but that was nearly 3 years ago.

    Small brass screws?

I know its out your way alan but viking hardware or future fixings both in hull do all kinds of small brass screws. Best to ring to double check tho as they might not stock them and have to order them in.

    Shelving around a room

The amount of supports would depend on the length of the shelves. Maybe tempted to put a lipping on the front to aid the risk of sagging if your not putting to many supports up.

    Stud Wall

That diy extra link uses 600mm centres for the uprights. This could be just self prefrence but i do my uprights 400mm centres. I always pink grip the two intermediate uprights too.
