    Shamrock Trademark.

Yeah, a long long time I think. I have a catalogue from the 1960's and one from about the 1920's which feature Shamrock tools

I'm Looking For A Henley Optical Plane To Buy

Apparently Patrick Leach was selling one the other month. I came across this site, http://www.infill-planes.com/infill-thu ... al-company which has a lot of great information on infill planes in general, but the author, C.R. Miller, talks specifically about the Henley planes on this page. It's...

    Plane storage

Some very nice solutions to plane storage here, guys. Most impressive! I saw a nice tool cabinet the other month, so I thought I'd post the link here. It's about 120 years old or so, but still a rather nice cabinet. Too bad there's only the one photograph of it though. The link is...

    RECORD NO.043 PLOUGH PLANE

I LOVE this plane! It's great for grooving drawer bottoms and doing small detailed work. Found some info on this Record planes site. Just basic stuff but the site looks pretty good.

    Making wooden planes

Kauri is a little soft for plane making generally. Not sure why they have that listed under hardwoods either?

My old Stanley No5 just died

Tis a shame, but the good news is that there's plenty more Stanley # 5's out there.....And a lot of them are quite cheap. Who knows, you might end up with a better one than the one you had?
