Does anyone have a henley optical plane from the 1970's that they are looking to sell?

That's right Andy, it was the mitre plane with the rare type front bun, The one in Tony Murlands sold for somewhere around the £800 I do believe?
I have a smoothing plane its great really heavy, would like a thumb or chariot plane if theres any out there?
I was told by a good source that many of the planes ended up in the states?
not sure how true this relates.

Cheers Gary

Apparently Patrick Leach was selling one the other month. I came across this site, http://www.infill-planes.com/infill-thu ... al-company which has a lot of great information on infill planes in general, but the author, C.R. Miller, talks specifically about the Henley planes on this page.

It's a interesting and informative site actually. C.R. Miller has been making infills for 20 years or so and started, along with the likes of Holtey and Carter, years before anyone else jumped on the bandwagon. The site is more "conversational" in a way. A bit like a blog actually, where he gives a bit of information about a certain plane and sometimes adds his own comments or views on it. No information on making infill planes though which is a shame. Doesn't just talk about the name brands either as several of the infills are user mades.

There's also a review of Henley that's been reproduced on Handplane Central. The link is http://www.handplane.com/henley-optical ... itre-plane
