The best recipe to go for would be the Milwaukee recips i've used both Makita, Dewalt and Milwaukee. Dewalt are good and the makita is ok but Milwaukee (the inventors of recips) i Think are by far the best you cant go wrong with it ive had mine for 4 years now, no problems.

Its high time a ordered some new blades for my plunge saw and my chop saw (mafell mt55 and festool kapex) I was looking originally at the Freud blades as that's what I have been going with in the past but I have just come across a company called Atkinson walker and its always far nicer to buy...

I doubt it, long as you set the depth right on the nails and i suppose it also depends on how large and how thick the shiplap is to whether it will split or not, but if you stay away from the edges you should be fine anyways oh and also what nails you use, smooth galvanised would work best imo...

have a look on rutlands, they do a hardware range with some pretty hard to find bits.. if you cant find it from ironmongery direct that is. :-)

Have you got a selco near you? Last time I bought MDF from there it was 10+vat 18mm but I use jewsons for ply at around £25 a sheet although I do have a trade account with them...
