I've certainly considered it and I might eventually do so! I've read about re-shaping allen keys to use as cutters. For the time being I was going to use Paul Sellers poor man's hand router method: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_2a_FwjAgk Quite like the simplicity of this design too...

I've also been keeping an eye on ebay and the for sale section of the forum with no joy yet. My plan is to wait it out for the carboot season to restart and hope I find one! Are there any carboots near you?
