or should I say Irwin. Is it me or the amber handled chisels these days as bad as there cheaper range. I had an apprentice come to me prior to his skills test to sharpen his chisels on my tormek. And after looking at the edge of the steel, it looks awfully weak.

But sapele, No that ain't durable, interior yea but not exterior, If your set up to manufacture and take on the job, Iroko should be no problem for you, and if she likes it, Then you will have a happy customer. Iroko will take the punishment.
I can't speak for yours, but normally any cheap rubbish. mass produced hardwood windows, have no real density to them. I know that doesn't mean its not durable, but most windows are from a Meranti type. Or as alot of timber merchants around here class it as, Far Eastern Red Hardwood...
A 1/2hr door blank. Is that agricultural enough for you. It is for me. Loads of narrow laminated timbers strips topped with 3mm ply. 8x4 does me. :shock: :lol:
