Having spent a bit of time knocking up a sled for making box joints with my shiny new 8" Freud dado cutters I then realised that the cutters don't go on to the spindle of the saw. Only the first 4mm or so is at 30mm bore, the thread then drops down to about 15mm diameter. Any one out there with...

I've been offered a new one of these at £460inc vat and it looks like an okay quality saw but I've never owned a bandsaw and have only ever used bigger industrial ones. I agree with Wizer. I went and bought the T30 and it's a great bit of kit, just leaves me grinning whenever I use it. I looked at the one with the sliding table but it really seemed very low quality in comparison, more bells and whistles (well, a sliding table) but a lot less accurate, fiddely...

Not sure if they do a brochure but Laguna have a bunch of videos of it on there website. It's the same saw but without the chamfered sides. I'll try and sort out a review and some pics asap. Currently building my new workshop (40' x 11') so bit busy right now but it'll get there. :lol:

My Deft saw takes a dado and cost £650 new (I sent the bloke who sells them a cheeky e-mail asking if he'd part with one for that much and he was fine about it). Might be worth a look, I think mine's a T30 (silver top) it's a great saw, very solid and well thought out.
