Hi there, I've painted a pine wood panel using equal part white paint and water to get a white washed finish. I was wondering whats the best clear sealer to use to protect the wood. It will be used as a desk top so will have heavy use. I'm after a Matt finish.

Thanks

I would use a water-based poly varnish and for a desktop I would do three coats, normally I water down the first coat with 10% water but as you’ve already got a finish on it it’s probably not necessary to do that.
