Might not be of any use to anyone but I thought I'd at least post it.

Zoro (https://www.zoro.co.uk/) is having a (Mosty) 20% off Autumn Sale and there are some pretty good deals to be had if you're looking for something in particular. It's definitely the cheapest I've seen the T-Bar Record clamps, They're pretty much selling new clamps at second-hand prices. Already picked up a few myself.

They also have a very large selection of industrial grade metal lathe carbide inserts on sale if that's your thing.

Thanks. I've been putting buying off a Thor hammer for a long time.
Got the leather head, hope 43oz is heavy enough and light enough. And makes the tea. Hopefully its a Goldilocks weight. Struggled to find the right weight that doesn't bash my chisels wooden handles up. Currently using a 4lb clubhammer with some cork stuck to it... It's not seemly.
20% off is a good call so I got a spare head as well. Will probably need that in 2028 with my work rate.

Also bought some little paint pens that look right handy for metalwork. 0.8mm nib. Worth a punt and I thought some might not have seen them. https://www.zoro.co.uk/shop/cromwell/pr ... uctVariant
I got red, green and blue just because I'm not disco enough to go copper, white and silver and then there's the eyesight. :|
Also some double sided tape because I was on the funbus by now. Never actually seen it in the wild before but I've heard it's useful. (hammer)
So that's my Christmas presents sorted.
Thanks for the heads up.
Regards
Chris

I've had a Thor hammer with soft/hard faces for years and years now! It's ideal for chisel work, assembly work and whatever else you want to throw at it. Definitely a good purchase that will last a lifetime. I should use mine more often but I've gotten too used to using a 30oz Estwing for pretty much everything from gently putting together sash windows and tapping chisels to having a hell of an abusing on site being used as a demolition device.

On ebay, "buyaparcel" are also having a 20% off all items for a few days. Lots of dewalt, makita and some bosch plus other tools. Prices before the coupon are too high but after discount are competitive. Lots of batteries and chargers available.
