I was ripping some PAR pine boards today when nearing the end of one board noticed something shining on the very end of the board, inline with the cut.
Stopping the table saw to investigate I found a heavy duty staple in the timber. Whilst it probably wouldn't have caused too much damage to the blade, you never know. Seems it was the remains of where a label had been stapled.
So folks, just because it's supplied planed straight and neat (hopefully !) from the suppliers, check the ends.
