That is a big baby ! Ive fitted a few colums and they tend to have a larger middle than top and bottom . If you make them straight they look like they dip in the middle .

I can remember watching a demo by Alan Batty... there's a mathematical formula for working out the dimensions of a column but most times you can judge it by eye... and a little experience :lol:
