Workshop dust control

Setting up my new workshop and trying to keep costs to a minimum.
I have seen a Karcher wet and dry vac for sale in my local b & q for 35 quid seems like a good solution for a first dust control device any body any advice on this?

Anything that will suck will work as long as your not just relying on that to protect yourself. The filters will allow the dangerous small dust straight through into the air for your lungs to collect. Some form of mask would be good.
