Workbench in the damp.

Hi all,

I recently bought a budget SIP workbench. Although it's not the most stable thing in the world, it should be great for my purposes. It's going to go into a little storage shed that's been reconditioned, and recomissioned as my little workshop. Although it's rain proof (I think!), it's not moisture proof. So, my question is:

What is the best, easily applied finish for protecting my workbench in such harsh conditions?

P.S: The workshop is small to the point that I will not be able to be in it when using it.

(guessing here) - I'd have a look at the sort of oil sold for garden furniture - I think Osmo do one which is probably very good.
