Woodie places to stop SE to SW

Hi folks

I am travelling from Suffolk to Bristol tomorrow with a bit of spare time on my hands.

I've stopped at The Toolpost before which is a great shop - any other suggestions?

When you get to Bristol, a good shop to visit is Bristol Design - a long established shop selling old tools and green woodworking tools. More here bristol-design-t90725.html

Trenchard Street multistorey car park is convenient.

Approx opposite is the Red Lodge which has some great 16th century carving and furniture.

Axminster Tool at High Wycombe is just off the M40 - not too far off your route?
Virtually opposite Axminster is Chiltern Woodreycling - worth a look, everchanging stock of wood
Also Isaac Lord in High Wycombe is about 5 minutes drive from Axminster
