Looking at these 2 lathes i know wadkin are solid machines as used them for years but not sure if the wood fast lathe is any better both will be around the same price and help much appreciated

the Record maxi2 is basically a copy of the wood fast I have the maxi1 and I,m really happy with it hope this helps alittle

well I've got the woodfast lathe first project a vanity unit sink and top after the 408 mile trip to collect it :-(

I have a wadkin BXL and i love it also have an RS in bits to restore but haven't found i the need for it yet. My only gripe with the my BXL is the tail stock lever dosent fully tighten and loosen properly so i have to struggle to get my fingers underneath to hold the locking nut whilst operating the lever. Got it off evil bay for £175 a couple of years ago , its 3 phase so probably a bit cheaper than a single phase one.No idea what the Woodfast like sorry .

Aha yes got that one seemed a good price was originally going for
The polewood euro 1000 from here but he wanted far too much money. A good clean and the woodfast should be a good machine nice and heavy 2hp motor i think
