Im restoring an elderly sailing dinghy, clinker built of mahogany back in 1963, now i used to use clear cuprinol mixed with linseed oil & a splash of stockholm tar on restoration jobs. We used to call it boat soup, idea was to put some oil into the wood & preserve it as well.
Its so long since i bought any wood preserver to mix this up, It cant be water based as its got to be mixed with linseed oil so spirit carrier is needed. Any ideas or recomendations on which sort to buy?
