is this a bunch of American Black Walnut?

Not sure, but the last image looks not unlike some Indian rosewood I have. But I imagine you have discounted that.

Kalimna - I really am not sure if this is ABW or the rosewood or anything else, my wood ID skills are limited to only the most basic common ones.

You should be able to tell the difference between Am Black Walnut (0.63 kg/dm^3) and rosewood (>0.8 kg/dm^3) by the density.
Walnut is very light by comparison.

Looks much more like rosewood than Am black walnut. Rosewood normally feels oily to the touch.

It must be rosewood then because I was staggered at how heavy the bundle was really really seriously heavy for the volume.
