Can anyone recommend a wood filler. Just built a bookcase and need to fill the countersunk holes. Used softwood pine, so filler needs to be quite light. I did try sawdust and glue but I need quite a lot.

+1 for plugging the holes. Almost certainly too late for this project now given it's assembled but for future jobs it's a very neat solution. The great value it has going for it is you're able to use plugs from offcuts of the very wood you're using. I even go to the trouble of matching the grain with my plugs and if done carefully they can be all but invisible in the final project because they also take the same finish and finishing process ie get sanded/planed with the finished piece so are 100% flush in the end.
