I have to make a hat and coat space, and a small wine storage rack, using existing two 32"x 32" racks, one above the other, in oak.
Am I right in thinking that light (from the window opposite) could affect the wine stored?
I may need to add a door.
This wouldn't happen in chez les 'Er indoors, owing to evaporation.
I need a pair of steel old style "H" hinges as I don't have any left to repair with my mightymig, and re-use.
Has anyone seen a pair of "H" or "L" please?
I have made some with 3" butts and "L" brackets welded, but I really have enough to do.
TIA Rodders

Are we talking fine wine stored for years or plonk for storage until it is consumed in a matter of weeks/months after purchase?

If the latter, I wouldn't worry too much about the effect if light on it.

Hello marcross, thanks for the reply, and sorry for the scant information.
This a up market job and it will no doubt contain some very choice wines and be left for up to about 3 months, or so.
Looking at this I do believe i'm answering my own question!
Thanks, Rodders
