It's probably like ebay, where they price things up higher that are not meant to be sold, such as when they're out of stock or some other reason. Basically just so they don;t have to relist it
 
Just buy the cheaper one for £384... unless it's the abridged version that only includes the odd-numbered pages...?
 
Pete's right - it's software bots at work. The article he linked to is quite old, but it's still a problem. I was talking to a big online bookseller the other day and they confirmed that it can still happen.
Of course, those prices are just asking prices, not prices actually paid.
