Whirpool bath

I am going to fit SWMBO a whirpool bath but am unsure about the wiring to it. We already have an electric shower installed in the bathroom which has a 6mm feed to it, could I use this to feed the bath or must I run a new cable from the CU?

If your CU has earth leakage rcbs, then you can loop a spur off the ring main and connect the bath through a fused spur box (the box can be in the bathroom as long as it is unswitched) . If not, you need to connect the spur through an earth leakage rcb then to the bath.

Part "P" could also be required as it is in a bathroom.

Ours came with instructions to say it had to be fitted to it's own RCD - not sure of the reg's but I did it anyway as I didn't fancy sitting in a bath that could turn me to soup!
