Plans are afoot to get a router table built so I need some t track.

Ujk seems to get lots of complaints about fittings, Incra on Peter Seftons site looks a good price and takes standard fittings, so seems the obvious choice, any others I should consider?

Thanks

The problem I found was trying to mix and match one manufacture to another, if you stick with UJK or Incra you want go wrong, but what is a standard fitting, we seem to refer to the USA imperial measured track and fittings as standard, when in fact the rest of the world works in metric, should we not do the same.

Is it t-track or miter track you are looking for? "Bad fit" etc seems to refer to miter bar in miter track.

Both ujk and incra fits 3/4" (standard) miter runner. Incras microadjustment to make the bar fit the track without freeplay is slightly more sophisticated than ujk, but both work.

Ujk track is dovetail shaped (which I personally think is of no use), and needs correct angle dovetail bit to install. Ujk is shiny, incra is matte, seems lika a small thing but I think the ujk is way too shiny and really looks awkvard in a woodworking shop.

Edit. Incra has better finish overall.

It's t track not mitre, so Incra sounds favourite

No it's not, it's the ujk mitre tracks that are dovetailed.

I don't know the purpose of the t-track in the router table, is it to fasten the fence? The incra is thicker than other brands and will weaken the top more.

Personally I don't like to fasten the fence in a t-track, the wood will pass 90 degree to that track and the track groove is one more edge the wood can get stuck on.

Another option is the Woodpecker Combo Track, this has both standard T Track and Mitre Track slots with fixing from below the table. This makes it very versatile and strong for table tops and fences, and is produced to the same accuracy of the Incra which means fixings and jigs will glide easily.

Cheers Peter

Thanks all for the info, the track I was originally thinking of was for the fence, so two separate runners which by the sound of it is half inch standard ((or metric equivalent) the discussion here has made me realise I need a mitre slot too, so is it usual to mix sizes or would you normally go 3/4 inch for all of it ?

Peter thanks for the suggestion,I'll have a look at the woodpecker system
