Someone here a while ago pointed me in the direction of -
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pacer-Zap-PT- ... 3641.l6368

I got some yesterday - how much cheaper, easier and cleaner this is than buying piddling little tubes. I shall shortly get the 30min. one, but this was bought because I have 48, 72 and possibly 96 part inlays that can only be done one at a time (and cut through before the next piece  ), and I didn't fancy waiting for even the quickest PVA. I tried it last night, and the speed is about right, so ideal. It's so much cleaner than tubes as well. Bargain - what's not to like? :D

Thats interesting -thanks for sharing, I see it being useful for a few jobs

'Z-poxy' -it sounds a bit like a product used by vets!

Been using it for years on large model aircraft for structural joints, some of these are capable of over 200mph so highly stressed, never had a failure due to separation of a joint, so highly recommended.

Have used it for several years for pen making and general repairs around the house, loads of uses. eBay is £6 a pack cheaper than Axi where I usually get it. It does however not like being left in a really cold shed through the winter, this is best kept indoors when cold in the workshop. It loses it workability somewhat after a year of being open as it goes a bit gelatinous.

Smashing epoxy glue though!

Another glue I've only tried recently when making a steam cabinet for SWMBO's spa room was Gorilla epoxy. It takes being in 100% humidity of steam without any loss of adhesion. And this on Cedar t&g to Cedar framework. It foams slightly for gap filling as well. I used it without gloves on and it took fully a week before my hands were free of the black residue marks.

Could you give me a rough idea how big the bottles are dimension wise please. 2 inchs long, an inch diameter?
I've got some stuff at the moment which is alright and pretty cheap .
Yours looks easier to use and certainly sounds sticky enough.

Some of the PU cartridges are excellent as well -if you've large gaps you've a 6mm bead. I had some really awkward threshholds to fix - the floor ran one way one side and the the other on the other. A couple of beads down each side, stood on the them for a few minutes and that was that - fixed.

Well slap my bum and call me Shirley!!!!! That looks like really good value. Thanks for posting the pic ;)

I thought it was reasonable value at £18 a pack till now.

I've been using the 30 min. version for years, part used bottles eventually start to coagulate but can be revived in warm water for some time without undue loss of adhesion.

Take note the "time" is the primary set time not the working time, as an example I find the 30min, is workable for assembling 4-5 pen blanks as long as everything is ready and no hiccups.

That's certainly a worthwhile saving on The Tool Store counter price.
