Where can I find scrap wood?

Is there somewhere local to Amersham (Buckinghamhire) that I can obtain scraps of wood?

I would like this for a playscheme that I run with children in the school holidays and thought it would be useful to have something diferent for the children to play with.

Ideally, I am lookig for any solid planks of wood and slices tree trunk.

If anybody could get in touch with me, that would be great !!

Look for builders that are building houses they usually chuck bits in the skip.At Least they have in my road. :lol:

Shame you aren't closer. I have more scraps than I need. Have you considered approaching local cabinet makers?

look for local joinery shops most will be happy to help
