What timber is this ?

looks like Honduran mahogany to me, not sure though.

i know nothing, but my guess would be beech.

Hi - my vote would be for an African hardwood e.g. sapele or utile (or plastic!) - all three used in windows/doors - cheers, W2S

uPVC / plastic ? I thought those words would be banned on here ! I think Chrispy is correct and it is Idigbo. Another bit of advice though. Sapele or Iroko for exterior IGU windows ?
