Wot, that someone photographed my hand cut D/Ts?

Seriously though, I'd agree with you, it doesn't seem possible.

Well the last box does say TRICK, I don't see how it can be anything but

The workmanship is superb, did you look at his workshop? 8)

Up the proverbial creek
Fascinating site. Interesting fusion of Arts and Crafts with traditional Japanese (there's a sentence I never expected to write... ). My absolute favourite piece has to be the box in Japanese Horse Chestnut. What a stunning piece of timber. Great workshop too; wish the pics were a bit bigger so I could drool in detail. :D

Cheers, Alf

I wonder what saw was used for the rounded ends of some of the dovetails??????
Ancient Chinese Proverb-"Western Woodies believe any old rubbish"

Someone spent a lot of time cooking these up!

Philly :D

Ta Chris my feeble joints no longer inmpress me  ]

I absolutely love this guy's work

What a craftsman and I would like to say inspiration to us all but suspect the only person capable of such feats is you (after seeing your hidden dovetails)

twisted dovetails
These seem to be a featured article in the magazines, on a about a 3 year loop-cycle.

IIRC DC even features them in one of his books.

Amazing ennit?

The "trick" finger type joints. My theory is that the 'key' shaped fingers on one half are in fact mitred splines, but can't be sure as you can't see the corner clearly.
