Hi all,
Today was the last day for VAT free purchases so I went along to the Swansea branch to get myself a Mig welder, my first one although I have an old stick welder which has had a lot of use. I have read about such places being manned by box-shifters but I have to say the sales assistant seemed quite knowledgeable, very pleasant and most helpful. He was able to offer advice and also helped me load the welder into the car. I have no complaints at all about the service I received.

Never had problems with the Swansea branch, same staff from old and very helpful and knowledgeable.

i haven't used machine mart for much, but i have found them knowledgeable on compressors when i have needed assistance.

I to use the Swansea branch and have been there a few times. Some weeks back I went there to buy a new sander, that was very heavy and in a very large box. The staff were exceptional, nothing was ever a problem, they were very helpful and knowledgable. I bought a few other things while I was there and being disabled and on crutches they told me to get in the car and they would load it up. I had the back seats down and they put everything in for me and closed the boot and wished me a very good day as I drove off, you can't get better than that.

Slightly off topic, I wish I'd known of the VAT free day I'm looking to replace my Generator.
20% off would have made for a good start for the week!

They don't seem to offer it to everyone, and you need a barcode to get the reduction. My mate shops there but he didn't get an emailed offer. I just happened to mention it to him and got him some stuff too. I don't know what the criteria are for being offered these codes. It may help if you are on their email list - go online and request a catalogue.
