Water butt connection

But need to extend the feed pipe about 8 feet, any idea on the size pipe I will need?

Are you planning to collect the rainwater from a roof? If so the pipe should be the same diameter as the existing down pipe.

No, it's the bendy bit that needs extending not the downpipe. They seem to be about an inch internally, but the easiest thing to do is get it first so you can take the existing with you when you try to get its replacement. Over eight feet of course you'll have to support it.

I think the ID on mine is about 20mm but as said, best thing to do is take the fitting along. I expect you'll get something at a fish pond/aquarium shop.

possibly 21.5mm overflow pipe would do to extend the flexi bit as it could be clipped to a wall
