sunny somerset!
check out this ebay link warn you again it's unpleasant!

But seriously how could someone let a Myford get in this condition. Maybe there where some difficult circumstances but still....

But what I do love on most un restored Myford super 7's (including my grandads) is the paint is warn on top of the belt cover in the same place where the operator would have leaned his arm whilst using the clutch.

Not an uncommon occurence, I'm afraid these days, leaky roof, etc
No doubt, as these were so well made it will "Scrub up nice" with much effort.
Such a shame when they are "broken" for bits.

You could scrape them or have them ground and if required have shims or thicker gibs ground.

Not a hard job, but a fairly time consuming and requiring a decent machine shop or outsourcing of the surface Grinding.

I say this whilst genuinely considering scraping the ways of the X-axis on a Bridgeport which has serious wear in the centre of the axis and none at the ends.

When Myford were in Beeston, Notts they offered a full bed and saddle regrind

I think its RDG tools which now own the name maybe the same service is still on offer

Im not sure about that. If you look at lathes spares they offer to regrind most myford parts but there is a fair bit of cost involved considering every procision part will need it doing.

And you can pick up a half decent myford for 900 qiud!
