Impending house move means a workshop pack up. This could be longer term than I'd like and will probably see some stuff unused for a while.

Is VCI paper good for longer term storage (months) together with a wiping of oil? I don't want to use lots of 'gunk' with the subsequent cleanup.

If it is any good any recommended suppliers? There's several e-bay listings that appear reasonable.

I have used a product called ACF 50 with very good results.
it was developed to keep aircraft frames from corroding while at sea on carriers.

I used it on my motorcycle when it was shipped here from the UK, and I still use it on the cast iron bandsaw table.

Thanks Bob,

What sort of residue does it leave and does it need cleaning off before using tools on wood?

Just spray and rub down a layer of Boeshield T-9 over the metal parts and drop some moisture / rust inhibitors in the storage boxes as well.

The T-9 will not need removing when you start using your tools again.
