Well I've never seen anything quite like though that doesn't mean too much. (hope this is the right thread for this sort of thing. Mod please change if necessary).
Just moved into a fresh house (and that's a story of catastrophe if ever there was one but that's for another day) and in the garage is a sort of bench thingy screwed to a couple of wall plates with two legs 'hanging' down from the 5' x 18" x 2" slab. At the left hand end there is a bench stop and a vice. It's quick release vice where the release mechanism is a fixed half nut and to operate it you lift the tommy bar at the front end of the lead screw. As you can see from the pictures the casting is slotted to allow for this. It's made by REDEDA and is type No. 32. The jaw is 6" wide and opens to about 5". Does anyone have any information about it?
