I am starting to prepare the workshop for my new season and today I said to my wife "those candles the fancy large ones I have put in a beer carton in the workshop in case we ever get a powercut and need lighting. The weather we get these days you never know"
Two hours later I am messing around with the electric machinery, putting in the leads to the equipment etc. and the power goes off. I thought Oi Oi what have I done.
Go indoors to the consumer unit and there is nothing wrong all switches are OK.
Bugger me, we have had an area power cut, and western fuel states on my mobile telephone power will be off until major fault is corrected.
We have not had a power cut here in Torbay for years, I mention the word and we get one two hours later.
