Types of block plane

Hi

I would be interested to know what all the different names and numbers for old Stanley block planes mean?
Eg
110
120
9 1/2
9 1/2 a

I currently have a "Stanley 9 1/2 a" and a Queshang bronze apron plane and would like to find something about halfway in between two in terms of size. Preferably with an adjustable mouth
