Both lovely looking pieces George :D
I take it that these are the results of what you cut up the other day :?:
Will that lovely Brown colour dry a lighter shade :?:
Did you use the Munro tool to do em :?:

thanks paul and soulfly
no paul these aren't from what i cut the other day i'll show you those soon.
these are now dry and fully oiled so the colours are what they are now.
I used the mini munroe for part of them.

Ah i see.
Love the colours george :D
Must get to my Beech soon. It's been fourteen months now,so if i get a chance i will sort it out these hols. :D

Lovely work George and the background has raised the quality of picture.

How long did these take to season just out of interest.

To your usual high standards George, I like the bottom one best.
I seem to have seen that shape somewhere before   Oh! its right in front of me
Happy Christmas to you and yours, God Bless Regards Eugene.

I can say nothing by way of critique of these forms, they're lovely!
The grain orientation on the top form is a stunner. Glad it dried so well.

I agree the photos seem better with the background, but wonder if a bit of side lighting may help?

thanks Ryan- one thing at a time though eh!!! i've only just got a graduated backdrop :D

Apologies for being a nag, but having seen so many of your pieces for real, i reckon your photos (while good) don't do them justice!

I'd put money on those beech forms being even nicer than they look here! :D

Loving that new background - your photographic skills have improved dramatically. Nice turnings too!

Lovely work!!

Have you posted any WIP threads of how you go about turning your forms? If not, would you mind doing one? It's your work, along with a few other that has re-kindled the turning bug for me, I'd love to learn how a pro would go about turning this stuff.

Cheers

Aled

Thanks George, that's just what I wanted.

Not a pro eh? Your work sure looks like pro standard. Do you have any aspirations to "go pro" some day?

Cheers

Aled
