Can anyone recommend any woodworking related programs that are on TV at present or are on Virgin / Sky catchup?

Channel 242 Tuesday's 10pm on Sky. A new series of New Yankee Workshop with Norm Abram. It's not shown on catch up but you can series link the show.

I also use Youtube for watching wood working programs.

Has anybody seen 'woodworks' with Anton something or other? How has that bloke got his own tv show? Just terrible.

The UK is too small to have established regular woodwork TV programmes. As above, some make it to satellite or cable services. But there is much more online.
Roy Underhill has had his US TV series for thirty two years which is quite amazing. Throughout that time he has stuck to a simple format, just under half an hour, demonstrating historic, hand tool woodworking in his own characteristic style. Unlike more recent video blogs, these are professionally produced and were made for broadcast.

You can buy all the old shows on DVD or paid for streaming from Popular Woodworking magazine, but there are now eight years worth of programmes - 110 shows - available to watch for free at http://video.unctv.org/program/woodwrights-shop/.

So plug your laptop into your TV and enjoy them!

Plankety Plank, Starsky and Hutch, Wood I lie to you and anything by John Carpenter :D
