turners in east sussex

hi all i would like to get into turning but have not a clue of where to start have checked with local colleges but nothing available i wonder if there is a turner near to me (Eastbourne) or near by that would be willing to show me how to get started and the sort of lathe to get i would love to make some bowels , i know this is a big ask is there a kind person out there that can help i am retired now(a young 65 ) thanks Roger

There is a new club in Portslade, East Sussex called South Downs Woodturners, their next meeting is on the 7th of February 2013 at Portslade Town Hall. They meet on the first Thursday of each month. Everyone's welcome to come along.
