Hi

anyone got one of these ?

It looked quite good at the Kempton show

May be tempted unless anyone can recommend anything better around the same price :?:

Why all the pms?

The question was posted on open forum and reponses should be made in the same way - the whole point is for us to share opinions and experiences

When i lived in Melbourne i used to rave over the Triton system but now i have seen it, i think it looks like a Meccanno set. Too many parts and add ons for my liking.

Hi Tony,
My PM response to the post was of a semi-commercial nature, ie my Triton is for sale, hence I thought it better to go via PM. Happy to do this in open forum if that is OK.
Regards
Martin

My PM was for a link to a page I wrote that shows all Triton products, as well as the Workcentre 2000. I believed that it might help Blister, but was too "commercialised" for general interest, especially given that I'm now a Triton demonstrator and was not trying to do a public sales pitch.

Neither PMs were, therefore, opinions or experiences. I think that you should trust mahking51 and me to know when to be public and when not.

Ray.

I have a Triton and allthough not used it very much yet (not had a workshop), I love it! There is a dedicated forum on the oz site.

I have had a Triton saw bench for about 10 years, I started with a mark 3 that I used as a router table as well as a saw bench. I liked the concept so much I cut my Mk 3 down to use just as a router table and brought a 2000 table along with the Triton circular saw and the panel cutting attachments.
What do I like most about it? The space saving design and ease of assembly, my workshop is a bit narrow so I am unable to leave the saw bench assembled permanently. I find it accurate enough for my needs and tend to use the 2000 for cutting down heavy hardwood planks prior to dimensioning through the P/T and sometimes cutting down sheet material.
I tend to get the saw bench out at the start of a project - much of my occasional cutting is done on my bandsaw which is always ready for use.

Yes I would thoroughly recommend one. Mike.
